About The Author
While serving as a member of the United States Army in Korea, God in His mercy, spared Glenn A. Pearson's life from fierce combat during the closing operations of the war. As an initial expression of gratitude, he committed his life to Christ Jesus and began to seek God's purpose for his life. During his second year of studies at the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he experienced a clear calling from God to prepare to serve Him as a pastor.
Upon completion of his under-graduate degree, he enrolled in the Lutheran School of Theology at the Rock Island, Illinois campus. In 1965, he received a master of divinity degree and was ordained into the Lutheran Church of America.
For the next 30 years, Glenn enjoyed successful ministry as pastor of six churches in four states. During the latter portion of this ministry, God began to open doors for him to serve as a missionary teacher training theological students, pastors, and church leaders in several nations abroad.
Upon retiring as a full-time parish pastor in 1995, Glenn began to make more frequent short-term missionary journeys abroad. To date, trips have been made to the following nations: India, Mexico, Nigeria, Kenya, Guatemala, Slovenia, Sweden, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus, Russia, and Pakistan.
To better facilitate this overseas mission, in 1997 Glenn founded a Para-church ministry known as The Desire of All Nations Ministries, Inc. The purpose of this non-profit organization is to provide discipleship teaching and practical skills training for theological students, pastors and leaders of local churches. Additional ministries rendered include financial assistance and humanitarian aid in the form of medical supplies and equipment, nutritional supplements, and audio-visual equipment to facilitate evangelism programs.
Glenn and his wife Esther Ruth have been happily married for 45 years. God has blessed them with four daughters who are all believers in Christ with Christian husbands, and eleven grandchildren.
